2009 HSBC Wee Wonders Local Qualifier to be held at Monmouth Golf Club
CHANGES TO JUNIOR EVENINGS AND STRUCTURE
Steve Jordan is stepping down from the role of Junior organiser and Lee Knapper has kindly offered to take over the role from 1st July 2008.
Steve will continue to run the junior league team and has agreed to support Lee for the rest of the season.
One major change to the junior section will be the change in the junior sessions being moved from a Tuesday night to a Sunday afternoon. The Sunday afternoon sessions will run from 4pm until 6pm.
The last Tuesday session will be Tuesday July 1st and then the Sunday sessions will begin on the 6th July @ 4pm. There will be some changes in the sessions and Lee is hoping to get more parents and children in these sessions and is more than willing to listen to any ideas or suggestions from either the Junior or there parents to what they would like to get from the sessions.
It is also hoped that some fundraising events will be helped to increase the funds available to the section to enhance equipment, training and other aspects that Lee would like to bring to the section.
If you have any thoughts, ideas or would like to help with the Sunday sessions or any aspect of the junior section please contact Lee on 07767 270633 or email juniors@monmouthgolfclub.co.uk
Monmouth Golf Club – Junior Open 2008 Report.
On Saturday 13th September 2008, The Annual Monmouth Junior Open took place at “Arguably the Prettiest Golf Club in Wales”, The Monmouth Golf Club.
This year’s event was kindly sponsored by Diamond Box Wales, (www.diamondboxwales.co.uk)

Together with ten of the Monmouth Friendly team consisting of Wayne Wadley, Leigh Bourne, Aider Morgan, Anto Spary, Roger Watkins, Simon Tyler, Wayne Meredith, Malcom Jones, Darren Brown and Simon Williams.
The event was again supremely organised by Steve Jordan to whom the junior section pay special thanks, his efforts ensured the smooth running of the event.
We were blessed with fine weather and thanks to the efforts of the ground staff an excellent course, despite the atrocious weather of the preceding week.
